THE LEWIS CHIKHWAZA CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (LCCA)

THE LEWIS CHIKHWAZA CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (LCCA) provides the children of Kondanani with the best possible education and a chance to excel in the future.

The Academyl was named after our co-founder, Lewis Chikhwaza, who was a prominent Malawian leader, Member of Parliament, businessman and pastor.

It has its own 7-acre piece of ground within our village and is completely secured with electric fencing. Aside from the various learning centres, offices and ablutions within the school premises, we also have a football field, running track, a dodge ball court, netball hoops, and other playground equipment.

We use an American curriculum called ‘ACE’ (Accelerated Christian Education.) This is an individualised system that enables the children to work at their own pace and gives them one on one time with a teacher, supervisor or monitor to overcome any personalised struggles.

We also have a remedial teacher who spends dedicated time working with children with have special needs.

The children are schooled within three large open-plan learning centres (classrooms) which are supervised and monitored by trained staff.

At present about 100 children are being educated at the Academy.
